Storr Lochs Lodge

View of Storr Lochs Lodge and the Old Man of Storr

... is a traditional stone built fishing lodge on Loch Fada, the first of the two Storr Lochs. Situated on the Trotternish peninsula, this is an area of mountains and lochs with views out to the islands of Rona and Raasay and the dramatic hills of Applecross on the mainland.

Only a short drive out of Portree with it's wide variety of shops and attractions, yet remote and tranquil, Storr Lochs Lodge is a perfect base for exploring the Isle of Skye.

11 Hallin Park, Waternish

View of 11 Hallin Park out towards the Western Isles

... is a single storey stone built croft cottage, with extensions added to provide modern amenities.

The Waternish peninsula is a wild beautiful place with fewer mountain views, but an outstanding craggy coastline and views of inshore islands and out to the Western Isles. Looking west, sunsets abound... really, a place to get away from the bustle.

Despite its peacefulness, Waternish has a strong community and offers many attractions to the visitor.

Bookings are from Saturday – Saturday, although shorter breaks may be possible out of the main tourist season.

We have had very favourable comment from people who have booked a two week holiday, one week at either cottage, enabling them to explore two very different parts of the island.

Scotland and Skye

Scotland - Skye map

The Isle of Skye lies off the west coast of Scotland, and is one of Europe's most dramatic holiday destinations.

The nearest airport is in Inverness, the Highland capital, from where you can drive, catch a bus or train through spectacular Highland scenery.

By road from the South brings you through Glen Coe, and either the Road to the Isles, or over the toll-free road bridge.
